Mirror-finished steel conveyor belts
Mirror-finished steel conveyor belts are used in applications where high hygienic standards, resistance to extreme temperatures, and a perfect product surface finish are required. They are widely applied in the food industry (such as baking, freezing), chemical processing (granulation), film casting, as well as in woodworking and wood-based panel production. The mirror-polished steel surface ensures smooth product conveyance, uniform heat transfer, and minimal product adhesion. These belts are easy to clean and highly corrosion-resistant. It makes them perfect for demanding industrial environments.
Features of mirror-finished steel conveyor belts
- Perfectly smooth surface: the absence of surface roughness minimizes product adhesion and reduces the risk of product damage, which is especially important for processing delicate products.
- High hygiene level: the mirror-finished belt is easy to clean, preventing the accumulation of bacteria and contaminants.
- Heat resistance and stable heat transfer: mirror-finished steel conveyor belts are suitable for tunnel ovens, cooling tunnels, and freezing chambers. They ensure uniform heating or cooling of the products and can operate within a temperature range from -40deg;C to +350deg;C.
- Durability and strength: conveyor belts with a mirror-polished surface are resistant to wear and impact and maintain their smoothness even under high mechanical loads.
Applications of mirror-finished steel conveyor belts
- Food and confectionery industry: production of candies, chocolate, biscuits, and baked goods. Steel conveyor belts with mirror surface are also widely used in cooling and granulation lines.
- Film production: they are ideal for polymer film casting processes. The mirror-polished surface ensures uniform melt distribution, minimizes film defects, and improves overall film quality.
- Chemical industry: these conveyor belts are used for the granulation of resins, waxes, and paraffin, providing uniform heat distribution and gentle handling of granules.
- Pharmaceutical industry: because of their smooth surface and easy cleaning, mirror-finished steel conveyor belts meet high hygienic standards and are suitable for conveying and cooling tablets and granules.
- Cooling and freezing systems: during freezing processes, ice forms evenly on the product with minimal adhesion to the belt surface.
Mirror-finished steel conveyor belt FCN-900
The FCN-900 mirror-finished steel conveyor belt is manufactured by applying a high-precision polishing process to a standard 2B stainless steel belt.
In order to achieve a perfectly polished surface, the impurity content in the steel must be kept to an absolute minimum, as non-metallic inclusions become visible during polishing and negatively affect surface quality. To address this issue, the FCN-900 conveyor belt is produced using electroslag remelting (ESR) technology, which allows strict control of impurity levels. In contrast, standard steel belts are typically produced using argon-oxygen decarburization (AOD) and contain a higher level of impurities.
The FCN-900 mirror-finished steel conveyor belt can be produced according to different polishing grades ranging from JM-0 to JM-4, allowing the belt to be adapted to a wide range of industrial requirements.
