CHEMICALS FOR CHROMIUM PLATING
Chromium plating is a spattering process using electrolyte with adding the solid inorganic substances such as sulfides, carbides, nitrides, borides and others. Galvanic chromium plating currently is very widespread characterizing by high wear resistance, hardness, toughness, chemical and thermal stability. Galvanic chromium plating has high decorative properties (it does not tarnish or change color even when heated). Sulfur compounds do not affect chrome plating (which are very harmful to many other coatings).
In industry, chromium plating is used for reducing friction, improving wear resistance and corrosion resistance. This process provides enhanced resistance to gas corrosion of steel (scaling resistance), resistance to corrosion in environments such as water, sea water, and nitric acid.
Chromium plating is used in many fields of industry, automotive industry, for the items of steam-power equipment, steam-water fittings, valves, taps, pipes and components, workingto the max in aggressive environments. In car service centers this process is necessary for car body painting and layer coating on the metal surfaces of motorcycles and other vehicles. Such a coating is not only efficient, but also beautiful, so it is used for decorative purposes, or to enhance the properties of the processing metal. Also the chromium plating can be applied to the mirror metal coatings with high reflectivity on the fasteners, metal hardware and component parts of all shapes and sizes.
A uniform thin layer of chrome provides special durability and impeccable shine of products. The thicker the coating, the higher wear resistance of the item. The main types of chromium coatings: milken, shiny, matt and black.
CR-AB series chromium add
Chemical composition: Chromic anhydride: 150-220 g/l Chromium plating is carried out at a temperature of 25-45 ℃ cathodic current density 2-22A/ dm2. Solution correcting: | Specification: This chemical component has good dispersion properties, can achieve high cathodic current density of up to 25-28%, has a low concentration of chromic anhydride. Additive automatically adjusts the content of sulfuric acid to maintain a stable electrolyte solution, it is easy to use, allows chroming at low ambient temperature. |
MCR-3000 Series additive for trivalent chromium plating
Chemical composition: MCR-3001 trivalent chrome salt: 250 g/l Chromium plating is carried out at a temperature of 25-35 ℃ cathodic current density 12-22A / dm2 and рН 2.5-3.5. Air mixing, filtration of electrolyte and gas solution is obligatory. Anode/cathode area ratio is 1.5-2.0:1. | Specification: environmentally friendly coating, toxic hexavalent chromium salt are not used, and the technology related to environmentally friendly and does not harm the environment. As a result low cost industrial treatment of wastewater from chromium is achieved. Furthermore, the use of anodes made of graphite reduces emissions. Coating color: white brightening. MCR-3500 Series additive for trivalent chromium plating
Chemical composition: MCR-3500 trivalent chrome salt: 275 g/l Chromium plating is carried out at a temperature of 25-35 ℃ cathodic current density 10-22A / dm2 and рН 2.5-3.5. Anode/cathode area ratio is 1.5-2.0:1. | Specification: environmentally friendly coating, toxic hexavalent chromium salt are not used, and the technology related to environmentally friendly and does not harm the environment. CR-203 Series add for solid chrome coating
Chemical composition: Chromic anhydride: 180-240 g/l Chromium plating is carried out at a temperature of 55-65 ℃ cathodic current density 40-90A / dm2.Anode/cathode area ratio is 2-3:1. Solution correcting: | Specification: bright corrosion resistant coating of uniform thickness with good adhesion. Chemical components of the solution do not destroy the surface of galvanic baths. Two times faster deposition rate as compared with the standard chromium treatment. The presence of the inhibitor improves the operating environment, reduces the consumption of chromic anhydride.
